going_greenMore and more of our customers are jumping on the “Green Bandwagon.” Our customers’ requests for environmentally-friendly products have increased dramatically in recent months.
Not only do our clients want organic foods but they want recyclable containers, ribbons and tissue papers. We have started using recycled jute ribbon and natural un-dyed recycled tissues.
I have found many of my suppliers were well ahead of the curve on these matters. They have many environmentally-friendly products already prepared and ready to ship.

I recently returned from a natural foods expo and based on what I learned, we have made several changes. We will no longer use plastic for our water bottles. We have changed our nuts to an “all
natural” brand that uses sea salt. Our chocolates are organic. They include organic sugar, milk, butter and vanilla. Our Trail Mixes have been changed to a light delight mix. One of soups for
the fall is a Tortilla soup rich in Omega 3 and fiber.

Look for a bigger selection of low-fat, organic foods for the fall and winter. We will, however,
still have lots of the decadent, chocolates cookies, cheese straws and other items that we have
always carried.

We feel consumers are much more conscious of how the businesses they patronize are dealing
with environmental issues. Buying products made in the USA not only helps keep our money at
home, but reduces our carbon footprint.

We are trying to do our part. Besides the changes outlined above, our eight page brochure is
made from recycled paper and our doormat is made from used tires. Loganberry’s is truly going
green.
